The Birdwatchers are a New Orleans-style honky-tonk dance band led by Joe Ross. Their sound is a combination of trad jazz, roadhouse, and jump blues. Joe, who is also in the Haggis Brothers, sings, plays acoustic guitar and harmonica. He is backed by Sean Wheatley on stand-up bass, Hugh Sutton on piano, Joy Ayer on trombone and Terry Rogers on soprano sax.
